Woodson House, renamed after the large high school built to its immediate south, was once the seat of a rather large dairy farm on Little River Turnpike. That's about all I know for now, at least until I get a chance to get down to Fairfax City Library to pull up its old records.

The future of this property is uncertain—It's been allowed to continue as a quaint Fairfax County Public Schools office since Woodson High School was built in the late 1960s on the former dairy fields. Rumor has it that the building and its surroundings will be replaced with yet another bus depot very soon, though surprisingly enough, the County seems to have neglected to inform the friendly staff who call it home today about these plans.

Whether this old home has many more years left isn't yet certain, but it will be documented for posterity's sake nonetheless.
